*Position: Junior Executive /Executive - Microbiology

Qualification: M.Sc - Microbiology
Desirable Sound knowledge of cGMP procedures and good microbiology lab practices.
Documentation - preparation of SOP’s, batch records, equipment and method validation protocols/reports. Ability to work in large functional teams and in shifts.

Job Description
Inoculum development, inoculum scale up and monitoring of the fermentation process for quality parameters – fungi, streptomycetes and bacteria. Screening and identification of micro organisms in fermentation. Isolation of DNA using modern molecular biology techniques. Hands on experience in handling/ operating, calibrating and validating microbiology lab equipments like autoclave, laminar air flow hoods, dry heat sterilizer, ULT freezers, incubators etc. Submit your resumes at careers@biocon.com

*Position: Senior Research Fellow

Qualification: M. Sc. (Biotechnology)
Desirable: Working knowledge in tissue culture, mRNA
isolation, cDNA library construction, SSH substraction, cloning and
RT-PCR technique. Qualified the NET of UGC.
Salary: Rs. 14, 000/- per month + HRA
Age: 35 years or below for men, 40 years or below for women
(Relaxation in the case of SC/ST and OBC as per Govt. of India norms).
The position is purely on temporary basis and is co-terminus with the project. There is no provision for re-employment after termination of the project. Interested candidates may appear for a walk-in-test and interview on 19th February 2010 at 10.00 AM at CTCRI, Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates are requested to bring original and copies of certificates at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test/interview.
